New Opel Corsa ecoFLEX Returns 3.7lt/100km or 63.6MPG and 99g/km CO2

GM's Opel and Vauxhall divisions have revealed the new fuel-efficient and green Corsa ecoFLEX that will go on sale across Europe in January 2010. Available in both three- and five-door versions, the new Corsa ecoFLEX is powered by a 1.3-liter CDTi diesel engine with a variable geometry turbo for a total output of 95HP, or 28 per cent more power than the existing 75HP Corsa ecoFLEX.

In spite of the power increase, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are slashed by some 10 percent over the outgoing model at 3.7 lt/100 km (63.3 mpg US or 76.3 mpg UK) and 98 g/km of CO2 for the three-door or 99g/km for the five door model respectively.

To help achieve these figures, Opel tweaked the Corsa's aerodynamics by lowering the car by 20mm and optimizing the air flows via the air intakes. Furthermore, the new 175/70 tires that are roll-resistance-optimized and fitted to lighter, 14-inch steel wheels, feature newly designed and more efficient wheel caps.

The new 95HP model comes equipped with a five-speed manual transmission featuring a longer gear ratio. According to Opel, it has a top speed of 177 km/h (110mph) and needs 12.3 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62mph) from a standstill.

SEMA Show: Yenko Lives Again with 600HP 2010 Camaro Prototype

The legendary Yenko nameplate will find its way on a Chevy Camaro once again as the brand's new owner, General Marketing Capital Incorporated (GMCI), will present its official 2010 Yenko Camaro Prototype to the public at the annual SEMA Trade Show in Las Vegas in November. Using a 2010 Camaro SS, the prototype will feature a 'Phase I' supercharged V8 engine with 600 horsepower coupled to a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox.

Additional Yenko branded upgrades to the prototype Camaro include a Hurst short throw shifter, 6-piston big brake package and Magnaflow high-flow cat-back exhaust system.

In terms of looks, the Camaro gets the Yenko stripe package, official emblems and badging, retro-styled 22-inch billet aluminum wheels, a leather interior package with Yenko Super Car (sYc) embroidered headrests, sill plates and Yenko/SC embroidered floor mats.

eBay Find: Worst Batmobile Replica Ever?

There are replicas and there are replicas. Some of the custom-made Batmobiles that we've shown you here on Carscoop such as this example from Sweden are awesome, others like this one, not so much, and then there is this replica that we found on eBay Motors. If not the worst (don't forget, there's always room for improvement...), this has to be one of the most nastiest and tasteless attempts to recreate a Batmobile that we've ever had the misfortune to lay our eyes on.

The Batmobile was crafted by a Greek designer in Germany who goes by the name 'Koon'. It based upon a 1984 Ford Granada while worthy points of notice include the electric circular saw blade up front and the... miniature Batcycle of some type located on the trunk.

SEMA Show: Hennessey's Carbon Fiber-Wrapped Hyundai Genesis Coupe with 500HP

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe appears to be gathering the attention of tuners at this year's SEMA Show. For this particular proposal, Hyundai Motor America teamed up with Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) and the firm's Tuner School. Aside from the matte black, carbon fiber-wrap, the rear-wheel drive coupe has also been upgraded with a heavily modified turbocharged engine (Hennessey didn't say which one) producing 500HP at 6,000 rpm and 465 lb-ft of torque, for an estimated 0-60mph (96km/h) time of 3.9 seconds and a quarter mile time of 12.5 seconds.

Other highlights include Savini lightweight alloy wheels with chrome lips and silver centers, Eibach springs and Brembo lightweight rotors. More details and the live photos of the project car will be released at the SEMA Show next week.
