Top Gear USA Consulting Producer Crashes Camaro ZL1 at Presentation

When you're test driving a very powerful sports car like the new 580hp rear-wheel drive Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, there's always a chance something might go wrong. Unfortunately, for auto journalist Aaron Gold, something did go wrong, but at least he wasn't hurt.

As we found out from his Facebook page where he posted this picture, Aaron Gold hold several positions including the Vice President of the Los Angeles-based Motor Press Guild (MPG), a consulting producer on the History Channel series Top Gear USA and an editor at "About.com Cars".

As for the accident, Gold commented on the picture he uploaded: "Blame it on the rain". He also added: "Driver was me, I am fine, thank you. GM guys said the damage is cosmetic, but maybe they are trying to make me feel better..."

Possibly the First 2012 Porsche 911 Crash

Unlike other more exotic and therefore rarer sports cars, due to the number of Porsche 911s sold around the world, there's not as much interest when one of them crashes. Unless of course, it's the first or one of the first of a new series like the 991.

The owner of this brand-new 2012 Porsche 911 coupe had the unfortunate experience of being the first we've heard of to be involved in an accident when he met a Volvo V50 in the Netherlands.

If you're interested, you'll find more pictures in the video that follows below the break.

Umm…You Dropped Something on the Road - Like a Couple of Kids!

Driving a minivan with passengers stowed in the cargo area is a stupid move in itself but doing it with the tailgate open is just criminal as you're asking for trouble.

And trouble is what these feloniously mindless parents got when two of the kids in the boot area…fell out of the Citroen Berlingo! Luckily, the van wasn't speeding and there was no vehicle following on from behind, so the two youngsters got up by themselves. Evidently shaken but not seriously hurt.

Feel free to check out the video after the jump.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS Door Bursts Out Flying During Race

We're not saying it doesn't happen, but it's not that often you see a door coming off a car during a race without the vehicle coming in contact with another racer.

One such incident took place at last weekend's Losail International Race Days in Doha, which is Qatar's largest city, when race driver Rob Frijns bid farewell to the door of his Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

It looks amusing until the video switches to the dash-cam view of the driver following behind. As you can see, this could have easily turned very ugly…

18-wheeler Flips Over and Squashes Chevy Cruze, Driver Makes it Out Injured but Alive

A male driver of a rental Chevrolet Cruze was involved in what can only be described as a nightmare scenario for any road user when an 18-wheeler truck loaded with cardboard boxes flipped on its side and landed on top of the compact sedan.

The accident took place in the northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway in Texas in the late morning hours of Thursday.

The large rig also knocked over the concrete center barrier and hit another vehicle, a black Volkswagen Touareg, hurling it over the median and onto the other side of the road.

Benny Hill would have been Proud: Motorcyclist Slams into Gate

If the motorcycle rider seen in this video had hit the women that just passed by or if he had been seriously hurt, it wouldn't have been a matter to laugh at, but given that he seems to okay having suffered only some minor injuries, we can't help but think of the famous British comedian Benny Hill and his hilarious sketches upon watching him hit the gate.

You'll find the video right past the break.

Can You Believe Both Passengers Made it out Alive from this Horrific Ferrari F430 Crash?

A fairly new Ferrari F430 was cut in half and burned to the ground in a shocking accident that took place earlier today in a suburb of Athens, Greece. If you take a look at what is left from the grey-colored Italian supercar, you'd be hard pressed to believe that anyone made it out alive from the accident.

Yet from some sort of miracle, coincidence or perhaps divine intervention, both the driver and passenger were saved – though they did suffer some injuries.

A report from local news site Vimaonline, said that the man driving the Ferrari and whom we see injured in the video, is ship owner I. Leontiadis.

Eyewitnesses said that Leontiadis was driving too fast for the conditions of the wet road in Vouliagmeni and at some point lost control of the F430 smashing into a tree on the median. The crash was so severe that the Ferrari broke in two.

Driver has a Very Close Call with a Ladder on the Highway

Understandably, because of the speed you and other drivers are traveling at on the highway, even the smallest object on the road can put you in a very dangerous position – let alone something as big as a ladder.

That said, the driver of the sedan you're about to watch in the video that follows after the break, should consider himself extremely lucky to make it out without a scratch - though, a clean set of pants may be necessary...

Euro NCAP Says Jeep Compass "Disappoints", Honda Civic "Impresses" in Latest Crash Tests

The latest results from Euro NCAP, which is equivalent to the IIHS in North America, brings good news for some, and bad news for others.

The two vehicles tested by the European body are the new 2012 Honda Civic 5-door hatchback and the redesigned Jeep Compass crossover.

Starting with the good news, Honda's compact model was awarded the maximum five star rating, achieving high scores in all areas of assessment and putting it on a par with the top models in its category.

Euro NCAP said that the passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal impact while the car scored maximum points in the side barrier test. It also offered adequate protection in the more severe side pole impact, and scored top points for the protection it offered to pedestrians.

Fortwo Driver Makes a Not So Smart Parking Job

One of the joys of owning a Smart Fotwo is the ability to park in places more fit for a motorcycle than a car, something that comes in very handy in congested cities all over Europe as well as other parts of the world.

However, that doesn't mean you should park anywhere you can because you may be in for an unpleasant surprise upon your return as this owner of what looks like it's the Brabus edition of the ForTwo found out, presumably in Paris, France.

The driver evidently parked the car over a motorized bollard which had enough power to lift the Fortwo partially in the air. Video follows after the break.

Suzuki GSX-R Rider Does the Ninja Flip Over Guardrails at Mulholland Drive

Another day, another motorcycle crash at California's scenic Mulholland Drive. Only this time, the rider of the Kawasaki-colored Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle involved in the accident didn't seem to be speeding, though we can't say with certainty what caused him to lose control of the bike.

As scary as the crash looks when he flipped over the guardrails, the driver didn't suffer any serious injuries as he was able…climbed back up to the road by himself and pick up his motorcycle.

Do the ninja flip over the break to watch the video footage of the crash.

Truck Driver Forgets Crane and Smashes into a Bridge

Being that no one was hurt, we can honestly say the funniest part of this video showing a Russian truck driver that forgot to retract the crane sticking up from the back isn't that he or she crashed into a bridge, but the aftermath as the vehicle snapped in half. Nice work indeed.

Just imagine trying to explain this incident to your boss… You can check out the video of the crash and discover where that Modern Talking tape you lost back in the 1990s ended up right after the jump.

Porsche 911 Owner Drives Straight into Wet Concrete

Can it get more embarrassing than this? The answer is probably yes, but driving a relatively new Porsche 911 straight into a patch of fresh, wet cement isn't exactly something you'd like to share with the rest of the world.

Regrettably for the owner of the 911, we live in a high-tech world where everyone has some sort of filming device and at least one person filmed the aftermath when the road construction workers were trying to get him out of the sticky situation...

The incident occurred on Thursday morning on a San Francisco street that was been repaved at the time. We still don't know for sure how the driver ended up in the cement, but we reckon it won't be long before the full story comes out.

For the time being, head over the jump to watch the video.

Road-Rage Escalates to Fight, Gunshots and a Truck Exploding…

We've shown you our fair share of road-rage incidents, most of which involve at least some drama in the form of verbal abuse or in rarer cases, a physical fist fight.

However, every once in a while, these episodes can escalate into something far more ugly and dangerous not only for those directly involved, but also for other drivers as it happened in Fall River, Massachusetts, this past Sunday.

According to the incident report, truck driver Luis Cotto said that in the early morning hours of Sunday, a black four-door Infiniti cut him off and then slowed down in front of him.

Chuck Norris Approves this Video: Man Avoids Oncoming Van by Jumping Back!

Accidents can happen anytime and anywhere, literally in a second. Most people don't even see them coming, let alone have the time to take evasive actions.

But once in a while, some very alert or at least extremely lucky individuals cheat death like this pedestrian, reportedly in Russia.

Even though the man was facing the opposite direction when two vehicles violently crashed into each other at an intersection, he immediately turned his head and saw that both cars were coming his way and he ran backwards saving his life, and all this in a blink of an eye!

Watch the amazing video footage from the security camera right after the break.

Chuck Norris Approved: Scooter Driver Collides with Truck

Understandably, in a collision between a motorcycle and a larger vehicle, the biker is the one who gets the raw end of the deal.

However, once in a while, motorcyclists manage to get out unscathed from a potentially deadly situation, like this scooter driver in Asia (if any of our readers now where it took place, add a comment below) who was involved in a crash with a light truck that went through a yellow light.

You can watch the video right after the jump.

Teen that Crashed Dad's New Mustang GT to get his Web Redemption on Tosh.0

Back in 2006, Joey, a 14-year old teenager at the time, became an instant internet and media sensation when a friend filmed him crashing his father's brand new Ford Mustang GT with the optional Eleanor package.

The short clip showed Joey getting into the driver's seat of the manual-gearbox Mustang GT V8, which still had the factory stickers on the window, and then all of a sudden we saw Ford's pony car accelerating right into the garage wall.

The original video has since garnered close to 3.7 million views on Youtube. Now, it's time for Joey to get his so-called "Web Redemption" in the next episode of Tosh.0 that will air on Tuesday, February 21, on Comedy Central.

Hyundai Accent Driver is Too Fast, Too Furious for his Own Good

It's cold, it's bumpy and there's a combination of ice and snow on the road. Moreover, you're not exactly driving the epitome of handling (it's hard to tell from the video, but it looks like an older generation Hyundai Accent sedan – if we're wrong, drop us a note via the comments section and we'll make a correction).

Do we really need to tell you what's going to happen next? Make the move past the jump to check out the video.
