Lumma Design Presents New BMW 6-Series CLR 600 GT Prior to its Geneva Motor Show Debut

For owners of the new generation of the BMW 6-Series Convertible codenamed F12 looking to improve the looks and the performance of their drop-top model, Lumma Design has released the first details on its CLR 600 GT package that will debut in a couple of weeks' time at the Geneva Auto Salon.

The German tuning firm's offerings include a rather discreet exterior styling kit comprising a front apron with additional LED daytime running lights (wonder how long these will last…), rocker panels, blacked out kidney grilles, and a rear apron with a diffuser.

Lumma Design Unleashes BMW X6 xDrive40d

The German tuners over at Lumma Design are taking yet another stab on the BMW X6, this time, on the most powerful diesel model, the xDrive40d that is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six delivering 306-horses and 600Nm (442 lb-ft) of peak torque in factory tune.

After Lumma Design’s people get their way with the diesel unit by updating the software and adding a custom exhaust system, output is increased to a more hearty 340-horses and 670Nm (494 lb-ft).

Lumma Design Restyles the New Porsche Cayenne II

You didn’t think the German tuning industry was done with the second generation of the Porsche Cayenne, did you? Of course not. Say hello to the new Porsche Cayenne CLR 558 GT dressed up by none other than Lumma Design.

The German design house’s CLR 558 GT package upgrades the appearance of the luxury SUV with a new wide body aero kit. It comprises of a redesigned, two-tone front bumper with a plethora of LEDs and fog lights, a carbon Kevlar hood with air vents, high rising side skirts, wheel arch extensions, and a restyled rear bumper housing a diffuser and three central mounted exhaust tail pipes.

Lumma Design (Over)does the E64 BMW 6-Series Convertible

Even though the new F12 BMW 6-series Convertible has already landed on the market, Lumma Design has set its eyes on the previous generation of the Bavarian firm’s flagship cabriolet with the release of a new cosmetics only package.

Known for its brazen styling choices when it comes to dressing up cars, the German tuning house’s latest proposal is no exception to the rule. On the outside, the team over at Lumma Design developed an a full aerodynamic kit that includes M-style front bumper, more prominent side skirts and a new rear bumper with side openings and a diffuser that houses quad tail pipes. The deal is sealed with a carbon fiber rear wing, and carbon fiber trim in a checkerboard design on the double kidney grille, the exterior mirrors and the rear diffuser.

New 2011 Porsche Cayenne CLR 550 GT by Lumma Design

The new Cayenne is significantly prettier than the lumpy, first-generation model Porsche released upon us. Now it resembles a legitimate X5 competitor. Still, Lumma Design wants to take it a step further with its wide-body CLR 550 GT.

For now, though, it's all just renderings.

Lumma is crafting an add-on lip spoiler with integrated fog lights, LED running lights, headlight trim, and a ton of carbon fiber bits for the Cayenne's front end.

Its carbon-Kevlar hood will feature functional cooling vents and be raised slightly to cover the windshield wipers (reducing drag) around the cowl area.

Lumma Design's Wacky Twin-Supercharged BMW M5 CLR 730 RS

All we have to say about Lumma Design's gaudy color schemes inside and out for its new BMW M5 E60-based CLR 730 RS, is that we'll forgive any of you that mistake it for a bowling shoe maker's promotional vehicle... But seriously now, the CLR 730 RS features what the company claims to be the most powerful engine ever to be fitted on a road-legal BMW, courtesy of G-Power. The standard 5.0-liter V10 unit that makes 507HP and 520Nm has been upgraded with a pair of superchargers, a new sport exhaust system and various other modifications.

The result is a total output of 730HP and a peak torque of 700Nm (516 lb-ft) for a zero to 100 km/h (62mph) sprint time of 4.2 seconds. Lumma Design says that after 10 seconds the car reaches 200 km/h (124mph) and after 29.5 seconds, it breaks the 300km/h (187mph) barrier before it reaches its top speed of 367.4 km/h (226.8 mph).

The tuning firm has uprated the M5's brake system that now features 6-piston calipers with 405mm drilled disks up front and 4-piston calipers with 380mm drilled discs at the back. There's also an adjustable sport suspension that allows the car to be lowered by 45mm.

The wide bodykit that includes a new hood, trunk lid with an integrated spoiler, mirror caps, door handles, entrance strips and fenders, all of which are made out of carbon fiber, is said to be designed to improve the car's aerodynamics at high speeds.

The CLR 730 RS rides on a set of 21-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels shod in tires size 255/30 up front and 295/25 at the back.

Inside, Lumma Design upgraded - downgraded (take your pick) the M5's cabin with two-tone leather seats and door panels with quilted patterns and more carbon fiber accents than a NASA parts cupboard. The German company did not disclose pricing on the M5 CLR 730 RS.

Lumma Design Strikes Again with Uber-Aggressive Porsche Panamera CLR 700GT

If there's one tuning firm you that you can trust with your eyes closed that it will create a wild proposal out of any kind of vehicle it gets its hands on, that has to be Lumma Design. And sure enough, the German company doesn't disappoint its fans with its new, Porsche Panamera-based CLR 700GT sports saloon.

These first photos - or computer enhanced pictures, we're not entirely sure, show that Lumma Design has gifted the Panamera sports sedan with an ultra-aggressive wide body kit that includes a modified hood with air outlets, restyled bumpers, a rear diffuser that incorporates quad tail pipes and a large rear wing.

The chunky fender extensions that house the 22-inch alloy wheels finished in black with silver rims along with the new side skirts round off the cosmetic upgrades. Furthermore, the sport sedan's ride height has been lowered by a significant 35mm.

We're not aware of the mechanical upgrades yet, but if the tuning company's work on other Porsche models is any indication, the CLR 700GT will boast more than enough power under the bonnet.

LUMMA Design's new Styling Kit for BMW 3-Series Coupe

There seems to be no shortage these days of new upgrades for the BMW 3-Series Coupe. The latest offering comes from LUMMA Design that has developed a new styling package for the E92 that consists of a rear apron (€535), carbon fiber mirror caps (€395), front spoiler (€849), side skirts with air-ducts (€569), boot lid spoiler (€299 or €653 if you want it in carbon fiber), roof spoiler (€299 or €653 in carbon) and chrome plated exhaust pipes (€353).

For those that want the Full Monty, LUMMA Design also offers a pair of composite front fenders with M3-style air ducts at €850 and multispoke 19-inch alloy wheels priced at €4,900.

LUMMA Design places car tuning on hold, develops Mountain Bike

BMW and Porsche tuning specialist LUMMA Design, has momentarily turned its focus on a limited-edition mountain bike that was developed with the assistance of former BMX world champion, Jordi Miranda. Fortunately or unfortunately -depends on one's aesthetic criteria- the mountain bike's design bears no similarities with the German firm's automobile tuning proposals. Featuring an all-aluminum frame and various Shimano components, LUMMA Design's mountain bike has been priced at €3,332 or with the current exchange rates, $4,320. Production will be limited to a mere 50 pieces.
