First Photo of Ferrari F620 GT Snagged During Presentation

The two-seater replacement for Ferrari's 599 GTB Fiorano, which will likely be called christened the F620 GT, wasn't supposed to come out in the open before February 29, as stated in the company's teaser videos.

However, we don't have to wait that long for our first look at Ferrari's new supercar model as a reader of GTSpirit was able to take a quick shot of the car during what appears to be some sort of a presentation.

The new model adopts a similar design language to the Ferrari FF with curved fenders and a large grille up front, behind which you'll find what the Italian automaker describes as the most powerful engine ever to be used in a regular production Ferrari.

Ferrari Drops Another Meaningless Teaser Video of its 599 GTB Successor

The new Italian supercar that will replace the 599 GTB Fiorano in Ferrari's lineup and which may or may not be named the F620 GT has been video teased for the second time this week.

Sadly, Ferrari's video teasers are of little worth, as we don’t get to see anything substantial about its new supercar model.

What Ferrari has told us is that the 599 GTB's replacement is that it will be the most powerful production model in its history and that it will be fully revealed on February 29, about a week ahead of its first public appearance at the 2012 Geneva Auto Salon.

If you still want to watch the video, you'll find it below the break.

On Wednesday, February 29, Ferrari will finally lift the covers off the replacement for its 599 GTB Fiorano supercar that has been in production since 2006.

In order to create some buzz and get us excited about a car that most of us will only get the opportunity to drive around the virtual tracks of GT5 and Forza, the Italian automaker published a teaser video that includes some scenes with a covered up prototype.

Ferrari's 599 Successor Scooped on Film Revving its New V12 Powerhouse

The styling of its cars may have changed several times over the years but one thing remains the same: the magnificent sounds Ferrari's 12-cylinder engines.

The replacement for the Ferrari 599 is no exception, even in an unpolished prototype form. The heavily camo'd test car was filmed around the Italian carmaker's Maranello headquarters with the driver doing his best to please our ears…

Ferrari Celebrates 60 Years of Formula 1 Wins with “60F1” Limited Edition of 599 GTB

Scuderia Ferrari is the only team that has been present in Formula 1 since its conception in 1950. On July 14 1951, it scored its first-ever F1 victory at the British Grand Prix held at Silverstone with a 375 F1 driven by Froilan Gonzalez.

Six decades later, on July 10 2011, Fernando Alonso won Ferrari’s sole Grand Prix in the 2011 F1 season. To celebrate the event, Ferrari has launched the “60 Years of Victories in Formula 1” [60F1] package for the 599 GTB Fiorano equipped with the HGTE handling package.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Slowly Roasts in the Middle of the Road in Dubai

Even though a Ferrari on fire is nothing new these days, in any other part of the world, a brand new or relatively new 599 GTB Fiorano slowly burning in the middle of the road like an over-sized shish kebab would have at least caused some commotion. But not in Dubai, the land of all things grand, ambitious and insanely expensive.

There's a couple videotaping the roasting Italian spécialité but nothing much else is happening with the drivers on the road just continuing their way.

We don't know how the accident happened nor if anyone was injured – though we assume that if the driver was still inside, someone would have stopped to help. Video follows after the jump.

Anderson Germany's Murdered Out Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Many often ponder if an exotic Italian supercar like the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano really needs to be customized. Well, while it’s a legit question, it really comes down to personal preferences. Fortunately, for those that want to go down that road, there are plenty of tuners willing to modify the 599 according to each customer's tastes and needs.

Anderson Germany is one of those tuners and it has presented a second take on the Ferrari 599. While similar to its previous tune shown in March, Anderson's newest black-widow style Ferrari has some differences, mainly inside where the entire interior has been trimmed in a combination of quilted red leather and black carbon leather with red stitching.

Report: Manual-Gearbox Supercars are Going the Way of the Dodo

Aside from the Prancing Horse emblem, the clearly defined open-gate gearbox with the chromed lever sprouting from within was Ferrari’s second best distinguishable characteristic.

With the introduction of the 2012 MY California, this tradition comes to an end, at least in the UK. From now on, Ferrari is offering its British customers only one choice in the transmission department: that of an automatic.

SCOOP: New Ferrari F152 Supercar Getting Ready Take on Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4

Once again, we have caught Ferrari's 599 GTB Fiorano replacement testing out in the open, but unlike the previous test mule we captured on film wearing the current model's body panels, this one is a prototype of the final production model.

The next 599 GTB, which is currently known only by its internal F152 codename, will compete against the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. It is scheduled to be revealed at the 2012 edition of the Geneva Salon in March, with sales to follow later in the year.

Back to our scoop photos, Ferrari's engineers made sure that we couldn't see the details of its new top supercar as the prototype was craftily covered in a puffy suite. However, the front-engine arrangement and long nose are clearly visible while we also get a peek of the deeply mounted LED tail lamps.

Magnifico! Ferrari Brings F40 and 599 GTB Together for a Whimsical Duel

From time to time, automakers manage to overcome their crippling fear of being creative and actually produce something that's original and interesting for viewers. The video you're about to see is one such rare example.

Titled "Duel for the Crown – Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano", the short video, which is close to 4 minutes-long, shows Maranello's modern V12-powered gran turismo going up against the classic and still beautiful F40 that was built in limited numbers from 1987 to 1992.

Hop over the break to enjoy the clip and don't forget to power up the volume of your speakers...

Ocean’s 13 got away with stealing diamonds, earning millions of cash and ruining their adversary’s life. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced that the cars impounded had a combined value of $2 million. These are the supercars that were temporarily seized:

Spied: Ferrari 599 Replacement Filmed Doing the Rounds on the Fiorano Test Track

Ferrari seems to be hell bent on replacing its entire lineup in just two years time. In 2010, Maranello revealed the F430’s successor, the gorgeous 458 Italia. This year, the not-so-beautiful (to put it nicely) 612 Scaglietti gave its place to the brand’s first ever four-wheel-drive sports GT, the shooting-brake-bodied FF.

And only three days ago, the Italians debuted the F430 Spider’s replacement, the 458 Italia Spider featuring a retractable hard top that will make its world premiere at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.

Ferrari Boss Says No to Electric Models, Endorses Hybrid Tech

Electric vehicles are the new black. Most mainstream manufacturers either have or are currently developing an EV in order to promote their environmentally friendly profile and at the same time, reduce the average fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of their fleet to comply with stricter future regulations.

However, Ferrari’s president, Luca di Montezemolo begs to differ. And we are talking about the man responsible for transforming Maranello’s supercars from fragile and non-practical toys for the wealthy to the finest in their class, while also turning the Scuderia’s F1 fortunes around bringing home five consecutive world championships.

SPIED: Ferrari Continues Work on 599's Replacement

After the launch of the 458 Italia and more recently, the four-seater FF, Ferrari is now concentrating on the development of its next supercar, which will replace the 599 GTB Fiorano and is currently known by its F152 codename.

Our spy photographers caught up with a test mule of the F152 wearing a modified body shell of the current 599 GTO over a new chassis that is believed to share many components with the FF.

Ferrari's four-seat supercar will also lend its new 6.3-liter V12 with direct-injection technology to the F152, but further honed to develop around 700 horsepower. However, we won't see the FF's all-wheel drive system as Ferrari will keep the F152 strictly rear-wheel drive.

Video: Rare Ferrari 599 GTO Bites the Dust

While we are happy to see that at least some owners of the rare Ferrari 599 GTO (of which only 599 examples will be built) take their cars out to their natural habitat on the racetrack, it’s always a sad sight when one of those exotics ends up like this.

The Youtube poster of the video says that the driver lost control of the car “at the end of the straight at 250km/h (155mph)”, but given the relatively modest damages to the 599 GTO, we reckon that he either had a lot of space in front of him or the crash occurred at much lower speeds, perhaps even both.

FAIL: Ferrari 599 GTO in Reverse hits a Pole

Bumping into or even just scraping against an object while pulling you car out of a parking space has probably happened to everyone at least once or twice. However, you would expect an owner of a spanking new Ferrari 599 GTO worth north of €260,000 or close to $400,000 to be far more careful that usual when attempting to reverse out of a parking space. Apparently, being careful was not in the nature of the owner of this blacked out 599 GTO in Cologne, Germany. Video follows after the break. Read more »

The coachbuilt Ferrari Superamerica 45 special commissioned by American billionaire Peter Kalikow has arrived at the Villa d'Este for the Concorso D'Eleganza contest. Not surprisingly, a by-passer took advantage of the occasion and filmed the car's roof mechanism in action at its first outing under the sun. This is the first time we see the supercar’s rotating top on the move and we have to admit it's pretty fast.
