Unbelievable: Video Footage Shows Drunk Dad Having his 9-Year-Old Daughter Drive him Home

What’s worse; being charged with DUI or with second- and fourth-degree child abuse? Shawn Weimer was too drunk to know he couldn’t drive, but not to realize the serious difference between the two.

Detroit police arrested Weimer last week after watching a surveillance video of the 39-year-old man making his 9-year-old daughter drive his GMC Safari to the local gas station at...3 a.m. in the morning.

“I got, I got a designated driver. Nine Years old. Nine! Dad’s drinking. Listen, we’re leaving and she’s driving. She drove all the way here” said Weimer, who already has prior convictions, while the little girl add “And I parked!”

GMC Shows More of its Detroit-Bound Sierra All Terrain HD Concept

We first reported on the new GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept in mid-December, but since then, General Motors has released a slew of new photos. The updated gallery includes the first photos of the design study's interior that has been spruced up with higher quality and more luxurious materials than the standard Sierra, upon which it is based.

Set to debut at next week's North American International Auto Show, GMC says the concept model is an exploration of heavy-duty truck capability combined with greater off-road versatility. Even if the Sierra All Terrain HD Concept doesn't make it as is onto the road, chances are that it will inspire a future production version. Full HD gallery after the break.

Video: 2010 GMC Terrain SUV in, out and around

During the weekend, GM's GMC unit threw off the covers its all-new 2010 Terrain compact SUV that will be making its first public debut at this week's New York Show. Though decisively different in terms of styling, the Terrain is in essence the rugged alter ego of the also new 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. Set to go on sale this summer, the Terrain will offer buyers the choice of two petrol engines, a 30mpg (highway) and 182HP 2.4-liter four-pot and a rang-topping 264HP 3.0-liter V6 that delivers an estimated 25mpg on the highway.
