Models being affected in this recall are the vehicles which were built between 28th of July and 6th of September 2011.

GM says that the system designed in 2012 will warn drivers when tire pressure goes down 25 percent underneath the recommended pressure whereas in the recalled vehicles the warning light is not getting displayed until the tire pressure falls more than 25 percent.

Federal safety regulators says that the over heat from the underinflated tires can lead to a blowout and a crash.

GM also announces that as of now there is no report of injuries or deaths related to this condition.
